Electrobac Acquires Versocet Solutions

MONTREAL, October 12, 2022 – Electrobac is proud to announce that it has acquired Versocet Solutions Inc., a leader in reverse logistics and mobile device processing, repairing, and refurbishing. With the addition of Versocet Solutions, Electrobac expands its services to the Toronto area by adding a modern and state-of-the-art processing facility.

“Since the popularization of remote work, we have observed that companies are required to manage ever-increasing numbers of mobile devices. With a shortage of qualified IT personnel, coupled with an inflationary economic environment, they are forced to do more with less. The acquisition of Versocet Solutions allows us to support our customers with a wider range of services. This means we can help companies to fully outsource the management of their mobile device fleet to our experts,” said Philip Bénard, Founder and CEO of Electrobac.

Building a successful and solid partnership

The acquisition will further strengthen Electrobac’s national position as an industry leader by more than tripling device processing capabilities thanks to new talented professionals and cutting-edge technology. This merger also allows the two companies to join forces to pursue common aspirations. Besides, after closing the transaction, Versocet Solutions’ senior management joined Electrobac’s executive team.

“Versocet Solutions stems from the desire to better support companies with their mobile assets. We should be adding significant value, not just providing a service. Electrobac not only supports our mission but accelerates its fulfillment thanks to the scale of its client base and the added value provided by its OEM and partner channels,” said Ted Gardham, CEO and Founder of Versocet Solutions, and now COO of Electrobac.

A leader in data security

Electrobac ensures compliance with current norms and legislation. In fact, the processing facilities are now audited and have R2, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, RQO, and soon ISO 9001 certifications. In addition, the company plans on offering security & compliance audits to ensure clients’ device management processes are in line with the new and upcoming legislations.

“Provincial and federal legislation on data protection such as Law 25 (ex-Bill 64) and C-26 puts the burden on IT teams to implement retrieval and management processes ensuring the protection of data on all mobile devices. Non-compliance can result in steep penalties,’’ adds Frédéric Brais, VP of Business Development at Electrobac.

The acquisition enhances Electrobac’s ability to provide full end-to-end services for the government and enterprise segments, thanks to its innovative team. The company also does the utmost to ensure compliance of its clients’ devices with the current legislation. To learn more, visit our website.
